Scaling Up LGI's Utility-Scale Solar Footprint
LGI has acquired two Queensland solar farms, securing a 100% operating interest in both sites. At 27.3 MW(ac) / 34.5 MW(p) , Brigalow accounts for the larger share of the 42MW(ac) / 54MW(p) of NEM-connected solar power generation capacity added to LGI’s portfolio, with Chinchilla accounting for the remaining 14.7MW(ac) / 19.9 MW(p).
This acquisition significantly expands LGI’s renewable generation base and strengthens its position in utility-scale solar.

Intelligent Market Participation with DACS
Brigalow connects directly into the regional distribution network as an inverter-based asset, making it a natural addition to LGI’s growing portfolio of distribution-scale generation and storage. LGI will roll out its proprietary Dynamic Asset Control System (DACS) at the site, enabling automated dispatch, optimising output to capture intraday price movements, and safeguarding returns through smart financial curtailment when spot prices turn negative.
Building Towards Firm, Hybrid Generation
Secured at a price well below the cost of building a comparable greenfield project, Brigalow brings established, low-cost solar output that complements LGI’s round-the-clock dispatchable landfill biogas generation. LGI is also exploring the potential to co-locate a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the site. Bringing together solar, continuous biogas and fast-response battery storage under DACS control supports LGI’s strategy of delivering firm, reliable energy to the local networks that need it most.
