LGI landfill gas sites firing up

LGI’s electricity generation project in partnership with BINGO Industries at the Eastern Creek Landfill in Western Sydney has received widespread attention, with an article by Glen Norris published in a range of outlets nation-wide, including The Australian, The Courier Mail, The Daily Telegraph, Adelaide Now, Toowoomba Chronicle, Gold Coast Bulletin, Herald Sun, Geelong Advertiser, Weekly Times Now and The Cairns Post.

He writes,

Brisbane based renewable energy firm LGI is literally cooking with gas at Australia’s largest landfill site. A new flare, 60 gas wells and biogas extraction infrastructure are being installed at the Eastern Creek Landfill in Western Sydney to help power the equivalent of at least 7000 homes each year as well as local industry.
