Country Caller feature – LGI gets the first behind-the-meter contract

We are so excited to see our partnership with the Toowoomba Regional Council grow. This September, LGI’s biogas electricity generating plant to supply the Wetaller Water Reclamation Facility will be commissioned. It will enhance LGI’s existing biogas extraction project which abates carbon and improves local air quality. 

This project is unique from our others. This is the first time, using gas from a Council landfill, that LGI will produce electricity which a Council will buy to use for their own use on site! We can’t wait to see the facility open to begin creating a cleaner future.
