Canberra’s main gas capture site will generate enough energy to power almost 11,000 homes

Harmful greenhouse gasses produced when organic waste breaks down are captured at the Mugga Lane facility and repurposed to generate electricity. Now the ACT government is partnering with clean energy company LGI to add two new gas-to-energy generators and an additional 12MW of battery storage and the energy output will more than double.
